Durek Verrett discusses recovery after kidney transplant

Durek Verrett has spoken about the difficult period following his kidney transplant. Despite experiencing intense pain, Verrett stated he felt it was essential to attend the funeral of King Harald to support the Norwegian Royal Family.

Verrett, the husband of Princess Märtha Louise, described the challenge of pushing himself to participate in the funeral services while simultaneously undergoing physical rehabilitation. He noted that he could not miss the opportunity to be with the family during such a time of mourning.

The period has been marked by significant health and personal challenges for the royal family, including the passing of King Harald and Princess Astrid, as well as Queen Mette-Marit receiving a lung transplant.
