Durg Police recover 200 lost smartphones worth 40 lakh rupees
Durg Police in Chhattisgarh successfully recovered approximately 200 lost smartphones, valued at roughly 40 lakh rupees, and returned them to their rightful owners. The recovery was achieved through a dedicated 'Lost Mobile Search' campaign utilizing modern technology, cyber tools, tracking systems, and the CEIR portal.
SSP Vijay Agrawal stated that the operation lasted about a month. While 200 phones have been returned, the police currently hold a list of approximately 3,000 more missing mobile devices and will continue efforts to track and return them. Authorities have urged citizens to report lost phones immediately via the police and the CEIR portal to facilitate tracking.
