Durg Police seize 4 crore rupees hidden in vehicle secret chamber

Police in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh seized 4 crore rupees in cash from a modified Bolero Max pickup truck during a routine vehicle check on the Khursipar National Highway. The large sum was discovered hidden inside a specially constructed secret chamber in the rear section of the vehicle.

The vehicle, traveling from Raipur toward Nagpur, was intercepted by the Khursipar police around 11:00 PM. Authorities identified the driver as Bhaveshbhai Jinabhai Dabhi and the second occupant as Vishnudev Dubey. Both individuals have been taken into custody for questioning regarding the source and purpose of the funds.

Preliminary investigations suggest the cash may have been intended for illegal hawala transactions. Durg SSP Vijay Agrawal confirmed the seizure and stated that the Income Tax Department has been notified to investigate the financial origins and ownership of the money.
