Durrës Fest brings European folklore to Albania

The international folklore festival “Durrës Fest” has arrived in the coastal city of Durrës, featuring various European musical and dance traditions. The event has transformed Liria Square and Epidamn Boulevard into stages for participating groups to present their cultural heritage.

A notable addition to this year's festival is a group from Israel, which includes performers with diverse abilities, such as dancers performing in wheelchairs. Choreographer Romi Siman noted that the group prepared a special choreography for the event and expressed appreciation for the hospitality in Albania. The festival aims to strengthen friendship and understanding between different peoples through art and music, with activities scheduled to continue throughout September.
