Durrës police arrest man for operating illegal gambling hub

Police in Durrës have dismantled an illegal gambling operation following a crackdown titled ‘Fati i lojërav’. A 35-year-old man, identified as F. T., was arrested in flagrante after allegedly renting a local premises without a contract to host illegal gambling activities.

Authorities discovered the site was being used for poker and online betting via mobile devices. During the raid, police seized poker tables, chips, and 15 mobile phones. Additionally, the 24-year-old owner of the premises, M. M., has been criminally processed for ‘making a premises available for the illegal development of gambling’. The case has been referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.
