Dusan Tadic faces criticism from Dutch media pundits

NEC Nijmegen forward Dusan Tadic has drawn sharp criticism from Dutch media personalities following outspoken comments regarding his teammates and the level of play at his current club. In a recent interview, the 37-year-old expressed frustration with the quality of the squad under trainer Dick Schreuder, noting the difficulty of playing alongside players who do not meet his standards.

On the program Vandaag Inside, Johan Derksen criticized Tadic, suggesting the player was ‘already finished’ after his time at Ajax and in Turkey. Derksen accused Tadic of being ungrateful toward NEC owner Marcel Boekhoorn and suggested his comments were an attempt to disparage his former club, Ajax.

René van der Gijp also expressed cynicism, noting that while Tadic has played for notable clubs like Ajax and Southampton, his career lacks the elite pedigree of clubs like Real Madrid or Arsenal. However, Wim Kieft offered a more moderate perspective, acknowledging that it is difficult for high-level players to work with lower-quality teammates, though he questioned whether Tadic truly qualifies as an Ajax icon.
