UK fashion retailers slash prices on summer apparel

British retailers have slashed prices on a range of summer clothes. Next reduced its Check Long Sleeve Shirt from €34.50 to €16.50, drawing praise such as "beautiful quality" and "splendid" from shoppers. The retailer also cut the Navy Check Cord Collar Heritage Coat from €108.50 to €42.50, with customers calling it "very smart" and "absolutely classic".

Boden lowered the price of its Tamsin Jersey Midi Dress from £89 to £62.30, with buyers noting the fit and flare silhouette as ideal for weddings and holidays. Marks & Spencer’s Cotton Rich Striped Midi Column Dress is now £26, described by shoppers as "easy to wear" and "perfect for holidays". Roman’s Print Strappy Midi Dress, priced at £45, received a 4.6‑star rating and comments like "hangs beautifully" and "gorgeous colours".

All items are reported as selling quickly, with several retailers advising customers to order a size smaller due to generous fits. The discounts highlight a broader trend of clearance sales across UK fashion chains as they prepare for the summer season.
