Dutch amateur clubs Veensche Boys and VV Almkerk begin 2026 season preparations

Veensche Boys held its first training session for the 2026‑2027 season on 1 August, fielding a squad of thirteen players. During the session forward Freek van Belzen suffered a suspected cruciate ligament injury and will undergo an MRI the following week. The training concluded with a team lunch in the club canteen.

VV Almkerk started its preseason on 8 August, with both the first and second teams training at 10:30 am. The first team has a series of friendly matches scheduled against RWB 1, Roda Boys/Bommelerwaard 1, SteDoCo 1 and others, while the second team will face Roda Boys 2, Herovina 1 and additional opponents. Both squads will focus on fitness, building automaticity and preparing for the upcoming competition.
