Dutch artisanal food businesses celebrate major anniversaries
Two long-standing Dutch artisanal food businesses are celebrating major milestones. Fidder Groenten en Fruit, located in the De Rietlanden shopping center, is marking 30 years of operation. Founded by Jan Fidder and now run alongside his son Jordy, the business has expanded its traditional fruit and vegetable offerings to include fresh prepared meals and award-winning hand-cut salads.
In Honselersdijk, Slagerij Aad Groenewegen is celebrating its centenary. The butcher shop is marking 100 years of business with various customer events and promotions. The shop is particularly noted for its traditional meatballs, made using a century-old family recipe that has earned high rankings in national taste competitions.
