Dutch band Lesoir releases eco‑themed single “Is It Nothing?”

Dutch prog art‑rock band Lesoir released the single “Is It Nothing?” on 24 May. The track, inspired by James Lovelock’s Gaia hypothesis, portrays Earth as a living organism and urges humanity to recognise the urgency of environmental change. Vocalist Maartje Meessen said the song reflects the band’s conviction that people should embrace new, better ideas before it is too late.

“Is It Nothing?” is part of Lesoir’s forthcoming album Tomorrow Is Now Today, scheduled for streaming and physical release on 23 October through the Belgian independent label V2 Records. A lyric video accompanies the single, featuring organic‑futuristic visuals of roots, neurons, mushroom‑forests and evolving cityscapes. In November the group will support Anneke van Giersbergen on her European tour.
