Belgium and Netherlands conservation areas seek EUROPARC accreditation

An evaluation report has been submitted regarding the application of RivierPark Maasvallei and the Transboundary UNESCO Man & Biosphere Reserve KempenBroek for EUROPARC accreditation under the ‘Transboundary Parks – Following Nature’s Design’ category.

Coordinated by the Belgian non-profit Regionaal Landschap Kempen en Maasland (RLKM), the initiative facilitates cooperation between protected areas across the Flemish and Dutch provinces of Limburg and North Brabant. The project focuses on decades of structured cooperation aimed at habitat restoration.
