Dutch Bros declines bid for Salad and Go locations as 7 Brew wins
Dutch Bros has decided not to pursue the acquisition of 65 Salad and Go locations across Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas. While the coffee chain had previously planned to convert these sites, rival 7 Brew has won the bidding process with an offer reportedly exceeding US$143 million. Dutch Bros had originally agreed to a US$105 million acquisition but declined to increase its bid, citing a disciplined approach to capital allocation.
Despite missing out on these specific sites, Dutch Bros continues to report strong financial performance. The company’s second-quarter results exceeded expectations, with revenue rising 32.5% year-over-year to $550.9 million. Adjusted earnings per share reached 33 cents, surpassing analyst consensus. The company also reported 13 consecutive quarters of positive same-shop sales, leading management to raise its full-year 2026 guidance.
