Dutch clubs wrap up 2025‑26 season with festive events

A local youth football team, ST S. K. N. W. K. / D. Z. C. ’09 JO17‑1, held its season‑ending celebration on Saturday. The event featured padel, a barbecue and a quiz, followed by awards for best player (Owen Hart), top scorer (Jurian Otte) and highest training attendance (64 sessions). Finn Kiesenberg missed only two trainings and was named the season’s “trainings beast”. Attendance figures for all players were released, and training will continue for a short period before a summer break.

Separately, the Soos De Cirkel foundation, which supports people with intellectual disabilities, marked the close of its 2025‑26 programme on 26 May at the Zideris building in Mijdrecht. The gathering included a full house, a barbecue and reflections on highlights such as a bowling night, a fancy‑fair, a stamppot dinner and participation in the Zilveren Turfloop race. Coordinator Angela van Adrichem said Tuesday evenings are a “party” for members and volunteers, and announced fresh activities beginning 1 September. Soos De Cirkel runs weekly evening sessions from 19:30 to 21:30, except during the summer months.
