Dutch companies declare bankruptcy across Noord-Holland and Overijssel
Multiple companies in the Netherlands have declared bankruptcy across the provinces of Noord-Holland and Overijssel.
In Noord-Holland, 19 bankruptcies were recorded between August 26 and September 2, 2026. The affected businesses span various sectors, including investment and holding companies, food, construction, machine manufacturing, technology, airport services, and research. Naarden saw the highest concentration with four companies, followed by Amsterdam with three.
In Overijssel, thirteen companies have gone bankrupt. Notable cases include the amusement park Speelstad Oranje, owned by Hennie van der Most, which is facing an auction of its building and inventory. Creditors reportedly claim approximately 80 million euros in owed funds. Additionally, the publisher Persmanagerin in Zwolle has declared bankruptcy, affecting 14 employees, though there is interest in acquiring its titles. The advertising agency Squal Media in Enschede has also filed for bankruptcy.
