Dutch companies deploy electric heavy vehicles for logistics and service
Companies in the Netherlands are expanding the use of electric heavy vehicles for specialized logistics and service operations.
Euromaster has launched a pilot program using a Renault Master E-Tech as a fully electric service vehicle for on-site truck tire changes. The vehicle is equipped with an electric tire mounting machine and compressor, allowing the entire service process to be performed without emissions. The company selected the Renault model based on its range, reliability, and operational security.
In the construction and infrastructure sector, Van Wageningen BV has introduced a Volvo FM Electric 6x2 knuckle boom truck. The vehicle features a net payload capacity of 11.6 tons and is equipped with a 28-ton crane. The company intends to use the electric truck following the same daily schedule as its diesel counterparts, charging the vehicle at its Capelle location using a 50 kW fast charger.
