Dutch couples celebrate significant marriage milestones

In the Netherlands, two couples are celebrating significant marital milestones. Roel and Marijke Oechies are marking their 60th wedding anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Mayor Marcel Thijsen visited the couple in Vries to offer congratulations and present a bouquet.

In a separate event in Delft, Hans and Wil, aged 77 and 76, recently remarried. The ceremony was organized as an emergency wedding after Wil's health declined significantly due to long-term kidney issues. The couple, who were originally married in 1972 before divorcing and later reuniting, exchanged vows again to ensure they were legally wed while Wil is still able.
