Dutch firms launch solar‑charged infrastructure for construction sites and wind farms

Batenburg has built an energy‑management system for a smart charging hub at a sand‑extraction site in Echteld, the Netherlands. The system continuously matches locally generated solar power from floating and ground‑mounted photovoltaic parks with the demand of electric dumpers and trucks, reducing reliance on the public grid, cutting energy costs and supporting emissions‑free construction.

Zuidenwind is preparing to install two LiFePO‑4 battery units (16 kWh each) with 13.5 kW three‑phase inverters at the purchase stations of the Heibloem and Ospeldijk wind farms. The batteries will store solar energy, smooth peak loads, lower grid congestion, and provide backup power for turbine monitoring, thereby decreasing grid‑connection currents and operational expenses.
