Dutch football clubs HBOK and TSC eliminated from KNVB Cup

Second-class league leaders HBOK and TSC have both suffered unexpected exits from the KNVB Cup after losing to lower-tier opponents.

HBOK, currently leading their division, was defeated 1-0 by third-class side LSVV in Zuid-Scharwoude. LSVV controlled much of the match, scoring in the 18th minute through Ton van Overbeek. Despite a strong performance from the HBOK goalkeeper that prevented a larger deficit, the team could not recover. The match ended with high emotions, resulting in yellow cards for HBOK trainer Ricky Kumar and assistant Donny Rijnink.

In another upset, Oosterhout-based TSC was eliminated by fourth-class Wieldrecht with a 4-2 scoreline. Although TSC managed to fight back from a 2-0 deficit to 2-2 thanks to goals from Bart Dirven and Suleiman Jalu, Wieldrecht quickly regained the lead. A penalty in the 75th minute secured the victory for Wieldrecht, ending TSC's cup run despite their strong standing in the second class.
