Dutch handball players advance in EHF European League
Dutch handball players and clubs have achieved significant results in the EHF European League qualifying rounds. Donna Bakker’s Boden Handbol secured a place in the third qualifying round after defeating Spanish club Club Balonmán Atlético Guardes. Robin van Galen’s Viborg HK also advanced following dominant victories against AEK Athens.
Other notable performances include Inger Smits and Zoë Sprengers with SCM Ramnicu Valcea, who hold a substantial lead heading into their next match in Germany. Rinka Duijndam’s French club, Chambray Touraine Handball, also progressed after a victory against ZRK Bjelovar. Additionally, Kim Molenaar scored twice for IK Sävehof in their win against Hypo Niederösterreich.
In local news, the Raalte-based club Kwiek celebrated a historic European debut. The club organized a large-scale event for their first European match, which resulted in a victory against Krajina Cazin, marking a major organizational and sporting milestone for the small village club.
