Dutch healthcare providers adopt digital tools and new leadership

Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei is expanding its use of hybrid care through digital pathways, robotic process automation (RPA), and remote monitoring. The initiative aims to reduce administrative burdens on healthcare providers, allowing more time for patient care. By using RPA for routine tasks and digital triage, the hospital intends to speed up data processing and potentially reduce waiting times. Additionally, remote monitoring via medical devices will allow for automatic signaling of abnormal values, providing clinicians with faster insights into patient conditions.

In the non-medical support sector, the platform Beep for Help has appointed Ewout Verweij as Operations Director. This move is part of a systematic expansion of the leadership team, following recent senior appointments in software engineering and marketing. Verweij, who previously worked in the sustainable energy sector, will focus on process optimization to support the platform's goal of expanding its non-medical home assistance services across the Netherlands.
