Dutch historical societies conduct annual excursions

Various Dutch historical societies conducted annual excursions in September 2026.

The Historische Vereniging Westerwolde organized a trip for 41 participants to East Friesland. The itinerary included a visit to Kloster Ihlow, followed by a walk to the Lambertikerk in Aurich to view the Ihlower Altar. The group also toured the Cirkesena Mausoleum.

Separately, the Historische Vereniging De Zijpe visited the Broekerveiling. The excursion featured a film regarding the landscape formation of Broek in Langedijk, historical storytelling about local land management, and a canal boat tour.
