Dutch influencer Charlotte suffers facial paralysis after non‑certified Botox overdose
Charlotte, a Dutch social‑media influencer, received an excessive amount of non‑certified Botox at a clinic in Haarlem. After multiple injections, her facial muscles weakened severely, causing her forehead to sag and forcing her to use special tape to keep her eyebrows lifted. The condition worsened, leading to intense pain and a period of depression as she stopped vlogging.
Following the incident, Charlotte consulted Dr. Arwind Chigharoe, who reviewed her video recordings and identified that the Botox had been injected into the wrong muscle groups, confirming an overdose. The doctor explained that the toxin had spread to surrounding areas, resulting in the persistent facial paralysis.
Charlotte has since cut ties with the Haarlem clinic and is seeking further medical care to address the damage caused by the unapproved treatment.
