Dutch logistics firms undergo rebranding and ownership changes
The Dutch logistics sector is seeing significant structural changes as two prominent transport companies undergo major transitions.
BosDaalen, a Westland-based family business specializing in temperature-controlled transport for fresh produce, is rebranding as Logisteed Netherlands Transport. This change follows its acquisition by the international logistics provider Logisteed. The company will continue to operate from its existing locations in Maasdijk and Eschbach, Germany, focusing on the groupage transport of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants while leveraging Logisteed’s global network.
Separately, Schotpoort Logistics has returned to full family ownership. After approximately 2.5 years under the ownership of Waterland/Duvenbeck, the Schotpoort family has bought back all entities and real estate. The decision follows shifts in market conditions, particularly within the German automotive industry, which altered Duvenbeck’s strategic direction. The Schotpoort family intends to operate as an independent organization, emphasizing specialized knowledge and rapid decision-making.
