Dutch municipalities unveil 2026‑2030 coalition agreements

Six Dutch local governments have presented coalition agreements that will guide policy through 2030. In Ede, the parties SGP, GemeenteBelangen, ChristenUnie, CDA and VVD outlined a “Groeien in balans” program focusing on balanced population growth, affordable housing, social care, green infrastructure and a strong local economy. The Ronde Venen council, formed by VVD, CDA and D66, released a “Vooruit door samenwerking” plan that targets 4,800 new homes, paid parking at Vinkeveense Plassen, and the cancellation of a contested waste‑transfer station near the Wilnis cemetery. Tubbergen’s CDA and Keerpunt22 issued a “Blik veuroet en deurpakk’n” accord that stresses financial stability, social cohesion and the development of housing, health and energy projects. Dalfsen’s Gemeentebelangen and CDA signed an accord for 2026‑2030, promising continued collaboration on local services, infrastructure and fiscal prudence. Doesburg’s coalition of GroenLinks‑PvdA, VVD, D66 and CDA launched a “Nieuwe fase, zelfde Doesburg!” program that pledges to preserve community facilities, expand housing for starters and seniors, improve safety and invest in cultural and educational assets. Across the municipalities, the agreements share themes of sustainable growth, affordable housing, strengthened social services and environmental stewardship, aiming to align local priorities with national policy goals for the coming decade.
