Dutch motocross season concludes at De Vossenberg circuit
The Dutch motocross season reaches its conclusion at the De Vossenberg circuit in Meijel. Hosted by MCC Meijel on October 24 and 25, the event features club races for various youth, solo, and sidecar classes, followed by championship battles for the Dutch titles.
Key contenders for the national titles include John Cuppen in the MX2 class, Jamie Lucas in the MX Open Inters, and the sidecar teams of Winston Derksen/Sven van Dommelen and Iien Kops/Robin Könst. Additionally, World Championship rider Stephan Wijers will compete in his final season alongside passenger Han van Hal.
In recent championship news, 17-year-old Sem van Helvoirt has secured the Dutch motocross title in the 125cc MX-Nationals class. Despite suffering a broken jaw earlier in the season, van Helvoirt achieved victory in Valkenswaard. He is set to move up to the 250cc class next year with the Laurense Motors Kawasaki Racing Team, where he will compete alongside his brother, Eric van Helvoirt.
