Dutch museums launch new art exhibitions in Haarlem and Lunteren
The Paviljoen Welgelegen in Haarlem opened the free exhibition “Verzinsel, verwijzing en verbazing” on 24 July, running on weekdays until 16 October. It showcases works by five artists—Anja Brunt, Harm van Ee, Léon van Kuijk, Rogier Polman and Nicolette Swaak—alongside their sketches, photographs, found objects and AI pieces, illustrating how ideas, memories and collections evolve into art.
In Lunteren, the Museum Lunteren inaugurated the “Paardenkracht” exhibition on 7 July. Featuring 40 works by illustrator Rien Poortvliet, the show traces the domestication of the horse and its shifting role from agricultural laborer to companion animal. The exhibition will remain open until January 2027.
