Dutch musical groups host charity performances
Various musical organizations in the Netherlands are hosting events to support charitable causes. The National Youth Brass Band of the Salvation Army is scheduled to perform a concert at the Grote Kerk in Elst on October 17. Led by conductor Jörgen IJsendorn, the ensemble consists of musicians aged 14 to 35. The event is free to the public, with collections being held for Stichting Leergeld, an organization that supports children from low-income families in participating in school, sports, and cultural activities.
In a separate event, the Muziekkoepel Nering Bögel concluded its music season with a record collection of 750 euros for IPSO Centrum Salland. The funds were raised during a performance in the Worpplantsoen featuring the trio Edge and the 21-member Hanzestadband. IPSO Centrum Salland, located in Deventer, serves as a support center for cancer patients, survivors, and their caregivers through workshops, coaching, and peer support.
