Dutch National Ballet to open Amsterdam Dance Event 2026

The Dutch National Ballet and ISH Dance Collective will present ‘Swan Lake Remixed for ADE’ as part of the cultural opening program for the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2026. Scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, the production will take place at the Gashouder.

This large-scale collaboration integrates classical ballet, hip-hop dance, electronic music, and digital art. The project is part of the ‘30 YEARS ADE Icon Series,’ a program celebrating the history and future of electronic music culture. The production marks several milestones, including the 30th anniversary of ADE, the upcoming 150th anniversary of Swan Lake in 2027, and 10 years of collaboration between the Dutch National Ballet and ISH Dance Collective.

The performance features dancers from the Dutch National Ballet and its Junior Company, alongside performers from ISH Dance Collective and various guest dancers. The production is a joint effort between ADE, Gashouder, Dutch National Ballet, ISH Dance Collective, and the production agency XSAGA.
