Dutch organic sector launches initiatives to boost awareness and professional networking

Organizations within the Dutch organic sector are launching initiatives to promote biological agriculture and professional development. Bionext has called upon farmers, processors, retailers, and brands to participate in Organic Action Day on September 23. This day, established by the European Union, aims to increase consumer awareness and stimulate organic farming to help reach the national goal of 15 percent organic agricultural area by 2030.

In a separate effort to address sector rejuvenation, BioJong is organizing the first edition of First BioDates during the Ekotown festival on August 30 at Landgoed Heerlijkheid Mariënwaerdt. The initiative connects young professionals and students with experienced industry experts, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and marketers, to foster networking and ensure the long-term growth and innovation of the organic supply chain.
