Dutch organizations prioritize digital resilience and governance

Dutch organizations are increasingly focusing on digital resilience and governance to address evolving technological challenges and security threats.

The Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) is seeking expertise to support the collective approach to digital safety. This initiative aims to strengthen the information position and tools of local governments, following agreements made in 2025 to address digitalization through shared services and strategic governance.

Similarly, the Dutch railway operator NS is emphasizing the importance of digital resilience within its complex technological environment. Dimitri van Zantvliet, Director of Cybersecurity at NS, notes that resilience extends beyond preventing hacks to include risk management, incident preparation, compliance, and recovery capabilities. The company faces a changing threat landscape involving professional cybercriminals, complex digital chains, and geopolitical tensions affecting vital infrastructure.
