Dutch poll shows PRO leading, FVD and JA21 surge to second place

A recent poll covering the 2025 Dutch parliamentary election projects PRO (Party for the Animals) at 24 seats, making it the largest party. Forum for Democracy (FVD) follows with 18 seats, while D66, PVV and JA21 each also reach 18 seats, sharing the second‑place ranking.

The governing VVD falls to sixth place with a loss of several seats, and the CDA drops to seventh. Vote‑flow analysis indicates the VVD loses four seats directly to JA21, and one seat each to FVD, PVV and 50PLUS. FVD’s gains come mainly from the PVV (seven seats) plus additional seats from the VVD, JA21 and BBB. JA21 benefits from the VVD, PVV, BBB and CDA. The poll also shows declining confidence in the current coalition and a sizable share of former VVD and CDA voters now uncertain about their party preference. Notably, about 95 % of FVD voters say they will vote for the party again.
