Dutch regional broadcasters nominated for Lokale Media Awards

Several Dutch regional broadcasters have received nominations for the Lokale Media Awards.

RTV1 has secured three nominations: editor Koen Kinds in the ‘Rising Talent’ category, reporter Hielke Bosch in the ‘Presenter’ category, and a story regarding a fish pier in Ommelanderwijk for the ‘Impact’ category. Bosch’s nomination follows his coverage of election debates.

RTV NOF has been nominated in the ‘Social Impact’ category for its investigative work regarding Sunday shopping in the municipality of Dantumadiel. The broadcaster conducted research involving approximately 1,800 residents and followed the subsequent political debates and council decisions.

The winners will be announced on September 26 at Theater Gooiland in Hilversum.
