Dutch Royal Family attends Formula 1 Grand Prix in Zandvoort

Members of the Dutch Royal Family attended the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort on August 23, 2026. King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, and Princess Alexia were present for the event, which marked the final scheduled race at the circuit under the current contract.

Princess Alexia, 21, made a notable public appearance, marking her first official engagement in several months since returning to her studies in London. Despite rain at the track, the Princess attended the paddock and the ceremony. King Willem-Alexander participated in the post-race proceedings by presenting the winner's trophy.

The royal presence included other family members such as Princess Mabel and her daughters, Countess Luana and Countess Zaria. The event also highlighted the upcoming visit of King Willem-Alexander to Niedersachsen, Germany, in September to commemorate the centenary of Prince Claus's birth.
