Dutch towns host open-air water cinema screenings
In Zwolle, the Potigetersingel will be transformed into an outdoor cinema on 23 August, offering a free screening of the adventure comedy *The Lost City*. Visitors can watch from a boat on the water or from the riverbank, with popcorn provided by Pathé and drinks by Het Vliegende Paard. The event concludes the Straatfestival 2026.
In the municipality of Dijk en Waard, the Drijf‑In Bios will take place for a fourth and likely final time on 12 September in the Kanaalpark. The unique open‑air cinema lets audiences view the film from their own boats. With the municipal arts programme ending, officials are seeking an organization or resident to take over the event, as noted by wethouder Nils Langedijk.
