Dutch woman alleges sexual harassment by software engineer in Hyderabad

A Dutch woman, aged 35‑36, visited Hyderabad in March 2026 to stay with her boyfriend in the Kondapur area. She reported that the boyfriend’s roommate, a software engineer named Aditya Anand, repeatedly stalked, groped and sexually assaulted her while she was staying at their shared flat in Gachibowli. The woman filed a formal complaint with Gachibowli police on 23 July 2026, after returning to the Netherlands and informing the Dutch Embassy of the incidents.

Police have registered a case under sections 74, 75, 78 and 79 of the Indian Penal Code and have launched an investigation. The accused is currently absconding, his phone is switched off and investigators are attempting to locate him.
