Turkey: Widespread planned power outages scheduled for late October

Multiple regions across Turkey are facing extensive planned electricity outages due to network maintenance, infrastructure modernization, and investment projects.

In Gaziantep, significant disruptions are scheduled for the Şahinbey, Şehitkamil, Nizip, and Oğuzeli districts. These works, aimed at improving the grid, will affect numerous streets and may last up to eight hours. Similarly, Van is undergoing a three-day modernization process affecting the Edremit and İpekyolu districts to prevent winter outages.

Other major cities including Istanbul, İzmir, Bursa, Konya, Kayseri, Denizli, and Eskişehir have announced scheduled cuts. In Istanbul, both BEDAŞ and AYEDAŞ will manage outages across the European and Anatolian sides, affecting districts such as Avcılar, Beşiktaş, Ataşehir, and Beykoz. İzmir and Bursa will also see widespread service interruptions for capacity increases and maintenance.

In the eastern and central regions, Siirt, Trabzon, and Çanakkale (Lapta and Gazimağusa) are also preparing for service interruptions. In Cyprus, Kıb-Tek reported that project works in Lapta and Gazimağusa will cause outages in various villages and military facilities.
