Đỗ Duy Mạnh undergoes successful knee surgery in the US

Vietnamese professional footballer Đỗ Duy Mạnh has successfully undergone surgery to repair a left knee meniscus injury in the United States. The procedure lasted approximately two hours and aims to resolve a persistent injury that has affected the Hanoi FC defender for several months.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) issued a statement offering encouragement to the national team pillar, noting his importance to the squad. Duy Mạnh expressed optimism on social media, stating that while this is another difficult period in his career, he intends to overcome it through effort.

Medical specialists estimate that the player will require six to nine months of physical therapy and rehabilitation before returning to peak competitive condition. Consequently, he is expected to miss the first half of the 2026/2027 V.League season and upcoming national team call-ups. His wife, Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh, accompanied him to the U.S. to support his recovery.
