Đỗ Duy Mạnh undergoes successful knee surgery in the U.S

Vietnamese national team defender Đỗ Duy Mạnh has successfully undergone surgery for a meniscus injury in the United States. Following the procedure, Duy Mạnh expressed his determination to return to the pitch despite the professional challenges ahead.

Medical experts estimate that a full recovery will take between six to nine months. This timeline suggests he will likely miss a significant portion of the 2026/2027 season, including the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 and potentially the 2027 Asian Cup.

Duy Mạnh is currently undergoing rehabilitation in the U.S. accompanied by his wife, Quỳnh Anh. This is not the first major injury for the defender, who previously underwent ligament surgery in Singapore in 2020.
