DVD Lukač celebrates 75 years of firefighting service

The Volunteer Firefighting Society (DVD) Lukač celebrated its 75th anniversary with a series of commemorative events. The program included a holy mass at the local cemetery chapel, followed by a formal session at the Lukač fire station.

During the formal session, President Josip Mitrović emphasized that the 75-year milestone represents decades of humanity, bravery, and selfless work by generations of firefighters. The ceremony included a moment of silence to honor deceased members of the society and fallen Croatian defenders.

Attendees included Požega-Slavonia County Prefect Antonija Jozić, representatives from the City of Kutjevo, and officials from the Požega-Slavonia County Firefighting Community. The event also featured awards and recognitions for members for their long-term service, ranging from 10 to 40 years of dedication to the society.
