DVD Sloga Plavić celebrates 75 years of service

The Volunteer Firefighting Society Sloga Plavić celebrated its 75th anniversary on August 29. The event brought together firefighters, representatives from the Croatian Firefighting Community, local government officials, and community members to honor the organization's history since its founding in 1951.

Currently consisting of 149 members, the society has evolved from its early stages of building a home and acquiring basic equipment into a modern organization. Beyond firefighting, the group now provides technical assistance and support during extreme weather events. Society President Ivan Maček emphasized the importance of continuous training and equipment, noting that the people remain the organization's greatest asset.
