Dôvera and Pro Diagnostics Group reach agreement to restore MRI services
The health insurance company Dôvera and Pro Diagnostics Group (PDG) have reached a new agreement, ending a months-long dispute that disrupted access to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services for patients.
The conflict began in July after previous contract terms expired, leading PDG to cancel or reschedule appointments for Dôvera policyholders. PDG, which provides nearly 40 percent of radiology and nuclear medicine examinations in Slovakia, had expressed concerns regarding reimbursement rates for advanced technologies, such as 3-Tesla machines.
Under the new compromise, MRI examinations at all PDG facilities are once again available to Dôvera policyholders under public health insurance. Both parties stated that the agreement aims to stabilize diagnostic availability and work toward reducing waiting times. Patients whose appointments were previously canceled will be offered new dates as soon as possible.
