DVS CONGRESS 2026 explores welding technology and AI

The two-day event featured over 70 lectures covering topics such as additive manufacturing, steel construction, regulations, defense, and artificial intelligence.

Key discussions focused on the defense sector and the integration of AI in joining technology. Jonas Kröger from Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH delivered a keynote on the technical requirements for processing high-strength fine-grain and armor steels, specifically addressing automation strategies for increasing production volumes. Additionally, experts from giftGRÜN GmbH and the DVS presented on the potential applications of artificial intelligence within the welding industry.
