Dwarka District Court discharges Sandeep alias Kala Jatheri in murder attempt case
The Dwarka District Court has discharged Sandeep, also known as Kala Jatheri, in an attempt to murder case involving gunfire directed at a police team. The incident occurred on August 5, 2023, in the Bamnoli area.
Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Singh ruled that there was no independent evidence to support the charges against Jatheri, noting that the case relied solely on the disclosure statements of co-accused individuals. The court stated that such statements, without independent corroboration or recovery of evidence, do not establish a prima facie case against him.
While Jatheri was discharged, the court proceeded to frame charges against four other individuals. Accused Vicky (alias Vira or Mota) and Narender (alias Banta) face charges including attempt to murder, assault on police, and violations of the Arms Act. Additionally, charges were framed against Manpreet Golu and Krishan under the Arms Act.
