Dwayne Johnson brings three daughters to live‑action Moana premiere

Dwayne Johnson arrived at the Los Angeles red‑carpet premiere of Disney’s live‑action Moana accompanied by his wife Lauren Hashian, his mother Ata Johnson, ex‑wife Dany Garcia and her husband Dave Rienzi, as well as his three daughters—Simone (24), Jasmine (10) and Tiana (8). The two younger girls wore matching blue dresses with red hibiscus flowers, while Simone chose a black midi with a thigh‑high slit. The blended‑family appearance quickly became a focal point of media coverage and fan discussion.

During the event Johnson spent time with children from the Make‑A‑Wish foundation, calling the encounter one of his most memorable fan moments. He also addressed criticism that the remake arrived too soon, saying the story’s themes remain timeless and that a decade is enough for a new generation to experience it. In response to viral memes about his long Maui wig, Johnson laughed, calling the hair “Maui’s super‑power” and encouraging audiences to judge the film on its merits.

Later, Johnson and his daughters joined co‑star Catherine Laga’aia for a traditional Samoan taualuga performance onstage, highlighting Polynesian culture. He also used the occasion to confirm that a third animated Moana film is in development, with writers Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller returning.
