Dwayne Johnson and Under Armour end decade-long partnership

Dwayne Johnson and Under Armour are ending their decade-long business partnership. The collaboration, which began in 2017, centered on the Project Rock line of sportswear, footwear, and accessories.

Under Armour stated that the split is a “natural conclusion” as the company seeks to sharpen its focus and strengthen its core business by creating a more unified expression within its training category. Under Armour will continue to distribute Project Rock products through October.

Johnson and his business partner, Dany Garcia, will retain full ownership of the Project Rock trademark. Following the conclusion of the distribution agreement, Johnson is expected to seek a new manufacturing partner to lead the brand into its next phase. Johnson expressed gratitude to the Under Armour team, noting that the brand represents his core commitment to discipline and training.
