Dwayne Johnson undergoes physical transformation for Lizard Music
Dwayne Johnson has been filmed on location in Brooklyn, New York, undergoing a significant physical transformation for his upcoming film, “Lizard Music.” Directed by Benny Safdie, the project is an adaptation of a children's book by Daniel Pinkwater and follows the friendship between a young boy and an eccentric man with an elderly chicken.
Set photos from Coney Island show Johnson appearing as an elderly man, utilizing prosthetics and gray facial hair to portray the character. To prepare for the role, Johnson reportedly lost approximately 13 kilograms (about 28 pounds) of muscle. This follows his previous intensive physical preparation for Safdie’s “The Smashing Machine.”
The film features an ensemble cast including Rachel McAdams, Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum, Alicia Silverstone, and Regina Hall. “Lizard Music” is slated for release in late 2027.
