Dylan Ferrandis announces retirement from professional motocross

French motocross rider Dylan Ferrandis has announced his retirement from professional racing. His final competitive appearance will take place this weekend during the season finale of the SuperMotocross World Championship at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale.

Ferrandis, 32, has had a decorated international career that began in Europe before he transitioned to competing in the United States. His career highlights include two Grand Prix victories in Argentina and the Czech Republic, as well as helping France secure a victory at the Motocross of Nations. He is currently finishing his final season with the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing team.

His retirement coincides with the announcement from fellow veteran competitor Eli Tomac, who is also stepping away from the sport ahead of the season-ending event.
