Dylan Mulvaney surprises LGBTQ+ youth at Provincetown fundraiser

Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender actress and influencer, made a surprise appearance at the annual Strawberry Social fundraiser in Provincetown. The event was hosted by Summer of Sass, an LGBTQ+ program founded by comedian and activist Kristen Becker.

Participants of the program organized the visit by placing signs leading to the Sass House after learning Mulvaney was in town for a nearby show. Mulvaney noted that she decided to attend after seeing an invitation in her tagged Instagram Stories.

Summer of Sass provides LGBTQ+ young adults from less supportive regions with housing, employment support, and mentorship within an affirming community. For some participants, such as Juniper Kristal Starling, Mulvaney’s presence was a significant moment due to her public journey and influence.
