Dylan Sprouse reveals unexpected family connection

Actor Dylan Sprouse shared unexpected findings regarding his family history during an episode of his podcast, ‘Wildmen’. While investigating a high frequency of twins in his lineage—noting seven pairs across four generations—Sprouse used an ancestry platform to trace his roots.

He discovered that his parents' family lines, which had intersected in California during the 19th-century Gold Rush, had diverged only to reunite in the generation of his parents. Sprouse jokingly referred to himself and his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, as ‘children of incest’ due to this historical convergence of their family trees.

Sprouse noted that while he previously believed the predisposition for twins came solely from his mother’s side, his research revealed identical twins among his father’s relatives as well. When he attempted to share the discovery with Cole, his brother reportedly declined to listen to the details.
