Dylan Wills pleads guilty to large-scale cannabis cultivation in Macquarie Hills

Dylan Wills, 30, has pleaded guilty to large-scale cannabis cultivation, drug supply, and possession of prohibited weapons following a police raid on his family home in Macquarie Hills.

During the September raid on the Delasala Drive property, police discovered 520 cannabis plants hidden in various locations, including under stairs, in a garage, and behind a caravan. The plants, which ranged from 10 centimeters to two meters in height, were grown using foil tarps and lights. Officers also recovered approximately 1.6 kilograms of cannabis leaf from under the stairs and another 500 grams from a sunroom.

In addition to the drugs, police seized prohibited weapons, specifically a nunchaku and a slingshot. Reports indicate that Wills had restricted his family's access to certain parts of the house by placing locks on doors to conceal the operation. Wills remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Newcastle District Court next month for sentencing.
